<strong>lot of paper and toner <\/strong>by using StepOver&#8217;s electronic signature solutions and thus have a positive effect on climate protection. Furthermore, StepOver <strong>has been actively committed to climate protection since 2008<\/strong>. As well as measures to avoid emissions, the funds provided by StepOver have enabled more than <strong>1.85 million square meters of forest <\/strong>to be planted over the years. By using our electronic signature solutions, large quantities of <strong>paper and toner <\/strong>can be <strong>saved.<\/strong> Furthermore, the emission-generating transportation, storage or destruction of these consumables is also eliminated. Our <strong>signature pads are <\/strong>designed <strong>for extreme durability<\/strong>, rated to 30+ million signatures and repairs are easy to handle and cost-effective. Even years after a product series has been discontinued, we offer repairs for our devices.\u00a0<\/p><p>StepOver has optimized its business operations so that as <strong>few emissions <\/strong>as possible <strong>are generated<\/strong>. Even when we cannot avoid sourcing from Asia for individual parts such as semiconductors or displays, we use <strong>recyclable components <\/strong>from local production whenever possible. The procurement of components in the immediate vicinity of the Stuttgart site (e.g. PCB assembly, injection molding) ensures <strong>short transport routes<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p><p>At our company headquarters in Stuttgart, we use <strong>green electricity <\/strong>and <strong>smart heating and climate control devices<\/strong>. For example, individual room thermostats help us to heat only the rooms that are currently in use. Options such as working from home or replacing business trips with video conferences <strong>reduce travel distances <\/strong>and the associated CO2 emissions.<\/p><p>We are constantly working on identifying and implementing <strong>further measures, means and methods to avoid environmentally harmful emissions.<\/strong> The aim is to further reduce the CO2 compensation requirements in relation to the goods produced and the number of employees. The GHG balance sheet prepared by StepOver (with the support of an external expert) was drawn up in accordance with <strong>DIN EN ISO standard 14064-1 <\/strong>and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and includes all three scopes listed therein (Scope 1, Scope 2, Scope 3).<\/p><p>StepOver therefore not only offsets <strong>direct emissions <\/strong>(e.g. from heating the building) but also <strong>indirect emissions, <\/strong>for example in the area of employee travel to and from work, upstream logistics, waste generation and business travel.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element
