For a long time, the creation and processing of maintenance and service reports at Dustcontrol was a paper-based process: technicians filled out A4 forms on site and customers signed them by hand on paper. The documents were then sent by post to the head office, distributed internally and processed. The entire process – from signature to invoicing – was not only time-consuming, but also prone to errors.

An end-to-end digital workflow in field service
Today, the process at Dustcontrol looks like this: The service technicians create maintenance logs in Excel. After completion, a PDF is created from the Excel document using the print function and transferred to eSignatuerOffice. The signature fields are already predefined there and are automatically placed in the PDF. The signature is made directly on site by technicians and customers on a signature pad or a mobile device such as a tablet. The signed document is then automatically saved, sent as an email attachment and digitally archived – without any media discontinuity or manual rework.

This optimized process not only saves an enormous amount of time, but also ensures better legibility, faster further processing and a high level of acceptance among employees and customers.
