duraSign Pad 5.0

The new 5 inch signature pad with color screen, document view & tempered glass surface - the successor of the duraSign Pad Brilliance

Highlights duraSign Pad 5.0

Maximum durability

The combination of a robust polycarbonate ABS housing (3 mm) and a tempered glass surface make this pad a particularly durable and resistant signature pad – ideal for permanent use at reception desks, cash registers, counters and in offices.

High resolution color screen

The 5-inch color display (800 × 480 pixels) with 64,000 colors provides space for displaying text and interactive buttons. In standby mode, you can present your latest offers, products, and solutions in a slide show for advertising purposes.

Document view

This signature pad allows you to display the document to be signed. You can sign directly in the document at the appropriate place. The signature is displayed in real time on the color screen of the signature pad.

Highest security

The biometric data of your signature (pressure, speed and writing direction) is already securely encrypted in the pad and is always securely transmitted. The StepOver software solutions bring this signature into the document. The biometric data is asymmetrically encrypted with an RSA 4096 key. The validity of the signature and the document integrity can be checked with freely available software (e.g. Acrobat Reader). To prevent theft, the duraSign Pad 5.0 can be secured using a Kensington Lock.

Compatibility with previous model

The duraSign Pad 5.0 is the direct successor to the duraSign Pad Brilliance and is fully compatible.

If you have been using the Brilliance Pad, you can easily switch to the duraSign Pad 5.0 – without any software updates or system adjustments.

eIDAS compliant

This StepOver Signature Pad is suitable for setting up a system for simple and advanced electronic signatures in accordance with eIDAS.

The supplied signature pen (duraPen 1) can be securely attached to the signature pad using a cord.
For storage, the pen can be placed vertically in the pad or clicked into place horizontally – ideal for safe transport or a tidy workplace.

The signature pad contains a public key from a pair of keys generated by a notary. This key is used to securely encrypt the biometric data of your signature on the signature pad. This means that this highly sensitive data is never stored in unencrypted form on your computer, which may not be secure. The private key required for decryption is stored securely by the notary.

In addition, each StepOver signature pad has a unique certificate for digital signatures (4096-bit RSA). This certificate can be used to digitally sign the document. This allows the document to be clearly assigned to a specific signature pad at a later date.

Data transmission between the ERT sensor and the main board is encrypted using AES-256 encryption. Before each signature a new randomly generated key is transmitted to the sensor via a secure channel. This means that the biometric data of the signature is individually encrypted and effectively protected against eavesdropping and replay attacks. The opening detection required in previous models is therefore no longer necessary.

Using the TCP and Citrix extensions, the signature pads can also be used in a remote desktop and Citrix environment.
